This helps to keep our instructors in touch with the “real world” and with current trends, styles, and practices that they can pass along to you.

Kristin Allison

Our Lead Instructor, Ms. Kristin Allison, is one of kind and has extensive experience in the cosmetology industry. She has worked as a make up artist; successful hair stylist; manager of an Ulta 3 corporate salon; professional educator for 2 of the top 5 haircolor companies in the world; and the national educator for HairDirections. She has been responsible for the preparation and execution of professional hair shows and photo-shoots, and developed training and promotional DVD’s.

She has in-depth knowledge and experience in practical techniques, product selection and use, and education methods. Additionally, she is an expert in the formulation and application of hair color, among other areas.

Kristin has planned, coordinated, and lead several cosmetology-related classes. She is well known in the industry, and was recently invited by Thomas Delmar Learning to serve as a reviewer for the Milady Standard cosmetology textbook. She takes great pride in teaching and helping others in the cosmetology industry learn. This is reflected in the incredible success of her cosmetology school graduates who have one of the highest state board exam pass and job placement rates in the country. With all of this success, Kristin is still one of the most down-to-earth and friendly people you will meet.

Kristin graduated from Highland Community College in Freeport, IL with a certificate in Barbering and Cosmetology. She received her instructor certificate from Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin and has also received advanced training in coloring, cutting, perming, hair extensions, nail enhancements, sugaring, teaching concepts, and business and leadership methods. She currently holds Wisconsin State Managers and Instructors licenses.
