Health, Safety, and Sanitation Strategies for Owners and Managers: planning, organizing and implementing compliance in your salon or spa

Everyone is welcome to attend this segment regardless of whether or not you are an Owner or Manager.

The objective of this class is to help you, as managers and owners, develop and implement an effective health, safety, sanitation and infection control plan of action through: (1) Understanding the importance of health, safety, sanitation, and infection control in their establishment; (2) Working with and applying the Wisconsin Administrative Code; (3) Equipping their establishment with the necessary resources; (4) Developing written health, safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures; (5)Training and motivating their staff to comply with the Administrative Code; and (6) Tracking performance and addressing areas of non-compliance. Understanding the technical aspects of the Administrative Code is only half of the battle for owners and managers. They must also have the skills and resources to ensure that the code is uniformly and consistently implemented within their establishment. This class addresses this critically important aspect of compliance management.
