Dare to Compare
We invite you to read
about some of the special features of the Four Seasons Cosmetology School.
Exceptional Track Record
-
The
HairDirections Education Method has given our graduates one the highest state
board exam pass and job placement rates in the country. As reported to us by
Continental Testing Services, 100% of the graduates from the Four Seasons
Cosmetology Program who have taken the state Barbering/Cosmetology licensure
exam have passed on their first try. Our graduates also have a 100% job
placement rate (data compiled from inception of the school through January, 2008).
The HairDirections Education Method -
We have developed a
powerful system called the HairDirections Education Method that focuses on
providing students with the tools and knowledge that they will need to be
successful. A summary of the method is provided below:

-
Students are given a
solid foundation of the theory behind the practical skills they are learning.
Our school is becoming well known for this unique approach. These skills help
our graduates keep growing their art long after they have left the school. Guest
educators, who are experts in their areas, have been amazed at the level of our
student’s questions and understanding.
-
Students get to “use
what they learn” shortly after each classroom unit is covered. We do not require
our students to finish all of their theory hours before being allowed to
practice on the salon floor. We believe this hands-on approach is one of the reasons our
programs have been so successful; it helps students retain what they learn, and
build on it.
-
A variety of
techniques are used to help students better capture and understand the material,
including: fieldtrips, independent projects, educational games, guest speakers,
videos, interactive computer-based learning, and traditional assignments.
-
Our curriculum was
created by successful professionals with experience in almost every area of the
cosmetology industry including: stylists, instructors, salon owners, corporate
educators, product distributors, platform artists, and business people.
-
Goal setting, proven
systems for building and maintaining clientele, and techniques to help clients
choose the right retail products are taught. In this way, our students graduate
with an understanding of “the business side” of working in a salon or spa. These
are important practical skills that every service provider in the industry needs
if they are truly going to be successful. Stylists with these skills are
highly sought after by salon owners and managers.

Four Seasons Electives Program
- We have developed the Four Seasons Electives Program to allow students to
customize their education, focusing on their specific interests and career
goals.
Professional Quality Student Kit
-
Our student kits contain professional equipment that students can use at their first job.
Highly Qualified
Instructors -
Our school offers expert instruction by licensed professionals. We are one of
the few schools where ALL of our instructors continue to work in salons and
spas. This means that you will be learning from professionals who actually
practice what they teach. This helps to keep our instructors in touch with the
“real world” and with current trends, styles, and practices that they can pass
along to our students.
Creative Experiences - We offer our
students additional optional educational experiences such as hair shows, trade
shows, and short "current trends classes".
Cosmetology Club -
All students have the opportunity to join
the Four Seasons Cosmetology Club. This campus-based student organization
provides opportunities for students to discuss the cosmetology industry, plan
trips to hair shows, receive advanced training, and organize cosmetology-related
and social events. Many of our students have found their participation in the
Cosmetology Club to be a fun and rewarding experience.
Placement Assistance
- We
are dedicated to helping our graduates find a job.
Financial Aid and the
Department of Education - Our school processes and accepts Federal Pell
Grant financial aid. Unlike loans, Pell Grants do not have to be repaid.
Students in the Four Seasons Cosmetology Program can earn anywhere from $0 to
over $9,400 in Pell Grants (estimate based on current Federal Pell Grant award
levels and is subject to change). Our students are also eligible to apply for
Career Training Loans from SLM Financial, a Sallie Mae Company (financing
available for those who qualify). Payment plans are also available through the
school.
State Licensing -
Four Seasons Salon & Day Spa, Inc. is licensed by the state of Wisconsin Board
of Regulation and Licensing as a School of Barbering and Cosmetology. All
Instructors are also licensed by the state of Wisconsin.
